Blimp to be flown at 77m to show height of proposed Turbine

CPRE Devon have arranged for a blimp to be flown at Langs Linhay, Shebbear EX21 5RQ at a height of 77m.    The area is facing another 2 x 77m wind turbines – one at Badworthy Farm, Shebbear and another nearby at Eastwood Farm, Peters Marland.  2 x 77m wind turbines have already been approved in very close proximity at Alscott Farm and Durpley Farm, but neither have yet been built, so its impossible for people to fully appreciate how high 77m actually is.    The balloon will be flown from 9am to 5pm on Friday 4th April and everyone is welcome to come along.

Geoffrey Cox MP will be present in the morning for the launch.
