St Giles on the Heath needs your Help

Two of our members in the St Giles on the Heath area are concerned that there is little opposition to a proposed 46m Endurance E3120 50Kw wind turbine. Although this is not a huge turbine it will add to the proliferation of turbines in that area.

This application is for a Mr C D T Sobey at Upcott Cross Farm, St Giles on the Heath.

It should be noted that Broadwoodwidger Parish Council have supported this application but then the Chairman of that Council is also the owner of the Turbine and Solar Farm at Roadford Reservoir! Ashwater Parish Council objected.

The application is 1/1049/2013/FUL on the Torridge Council web site so if you can help please put an objection in.

Lawhitton needs your help to fight another Wind Turbine!

It has been pointed out to us that an application for a 77m Wind Turbine has been made close to Lawhitton and roughly one kilometre ESE from the one at Scarne farm.  This new site is on the other side of the road from the Launceston Cricket Pitch over looking the Inny Valley and will be another blot on the landscape surrounding Launceston Castle.

So far no objections have been made so please help the local residents by submitting your opposition.

This application has been made by our old friends Aardvark and Murex who seem intent on ruining our local countryside!

Full details can be found on the Cornwall County Council Planning site:-
