80m North Devon Wind Turbine rejected by Council

An application to build an 80 metre wind turbine on the edge of Fullabrook Wind Farm, has been rejected by North Devon Council because it would have been out of keeping with its surroundings.

The turbine would have produced 800kw if approved.

Kelly Parish Meeting – Thursday 29th March 2012 at 7.30pm

This is to discuss two important  items:- 

  1.  The Planning Application 02471/2012 by Tredown Farm for a renewal of their on-farm composting arrangement with Devon County Council. The Application is for the processing of 3,500 tons per annum of green waste from WDBC Kerbside collections, commercial and professional gardeners.

2.    A possible planning application by Lightsource Renewable Energy Ltd for a solar farm in the last large field going from Meadwell to Kelly on the left hand side. This is on behalf of Tredown Farm. This solar farm will have a generation capacity of approximately 1.3Mw of electricity which is equivalent to the requirements of approximately 402 houses.  Full details will be available at the meeting.
