New Energy Secretary Amber Rudd promises locals can veto turbines | Daily Mail Online

Hi Folks, Since the conservatives in the election campaign promised to greatly reduce wind farm subsidies, I am looking to hold their feet to the fire by putting into government an e mail petition on the lines of:- We the undersigned request that no subsidies should be paid to new wind turbines, both onshore and offshore. We further request that any subsidies paid to existing wind turbines, both onshore and offshore, should be reduced by 25% a year, until after 4 years the subsidies paid to wind turbine operators are zero. If this, or something like it can gain 1 million signatures, then it has to be debated in the House of Commons. All of which leads me to ask, do you have an up to date list of all anti wind organisations? Whilst many of them may be small, the cumulative effect could get things moving.
