What a huge success last nights meeting was!
Some One hundred and thirty people crammed into the Village Hall at Lewdown on Monday evening the 1st September to hear the Mabrake Secretary (David Gynn) and Mabrake Chairman (Dr Gary Vanstone) explain the consequences of allowing a 77m wind turbine to be built at Wreys Barton Farm Stowford and what Mabrake could do to help.
A ZTV (Zone of Theoretical Vision) produced by Mabrake attracted much attention. This was centred on the proposed site at Wreys Barton farm, to show people the elevations of the surrounding area and where this turbine would be seen from.
A number of people volunteered to help form a committee and this will be set up over the next few days. A handsome sum of £274 was collected in donations. If anyone did not see the Donations Box and would like to contribute please email the Secretary at mabrake@btinternet.com
A big thank you to all those who helped make the evening such a success!
