Murex Energy have circulated letters to parishioners in the Lewdown and Stowford areas telling them of the benefits of installing a 77m to tip wind turbine in fields just north of Stowford village. These fields are owned by Mr Andrew Davey of Wreys Barton Farm, Stowford.

This “public consultation” is set to last until the 14th September 2014 and I would encourage all of you to write to Murex Energy, P.O.Box 185, Tiverton, EX16 0DE objecting strongly to their proposal.

Please note no application has been submitted to WDBC Planning Department, this is purely Murex’s idea of a “public consultation” which is required before any formal planning application is submitted.
