Lifton Farm Shop Wind Turbine – Appeal – 00063/2013

To bring you all up to date on this matter, the applicant appealed in June on the basis of non-determination within the required time frame i.e by the June Planning Committee meeting. At that time however the Planning department were still ascertaining all the facts and these were not available until the following meeting held on the 9th July at which time the Planning Officer recommended refusal.

The Appeal starting date has now been entered as the 29th July and therefore any written representations must be submitted by the 9th September 2013

Proposed development: :Appeal against non-determination of application for erection of one wind turbine (estimated output of 500kw) 50 metres to hub height, 77 metres to tip height and associated infrastructure.

I am writing to let you know that an appeal has been made to the Secretary of State in respect of the  above site. The reason for the appeal is: Failure to Notify of Decision.  The appeal will be determined on the basis of written representations. The procedure to be followed is set out in Part 2 of the Town and Country Planning (Appeals) (Written Representations Procedure) (England) Regulations 2009.

 

The appeal documents are available for inspection at West Devon Borough Council offices at the address above between 9.00 – 5.00 Monday Friday, or alternatively, they may be viewed on the Council’s website at http://www.westdevon.gov.uk

 

Any comments made at the application stage will be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate.  Should you wish to make representations, or modify/withdraw your previous representation, you can do so on the Planning Portal at www.planningportal.gov.uk/pcs or by emailing  teamp13@pins.gsi.gov.uk.  If you do not have access to the internet, you can send 3 copies to the Planning Inspectorate at 3/22 Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN, quoting the appeal reference.  All representations must be received by 09 September 2013. The Planning Inspectorate will not acknowledge representations, however they will ensure that letters received by the deadline are passed on to the Inspector dealing with the appeal.  Please be advised that any representations received after the deadline will not normally be seen by the Inspector and will be returned.  I must point out that your views will be disclosed to both parties.
