Please note the application to build a Solar Farm at Kelly will go before the WDBC Planning Committee on Tuesday 11th September at 1000am.
We understand that the recommendation from the Planning Officer is for Conditional Approval. This is despite the written concerns shown by many local people. WDBC does not appear to have a strategic plan on what should be allowed to be installed in our area nor does the Planning Officer seem to have taken into account what can only be described as industrialisation of the countryside.

Members of Mabrake, For your information, as ward councillor, I shall attend the P&L meeting on 11 Sept. as a substitute committee member. Whist I am opposed to the development, primarily on the grounds of its ‘industrial ‘ scale and detrimental impact on the countryside, I shall move a resolution for a site visit by committeee members to see for themselves, before they make their decision.
