New Legislation approved – Hub Height exceeding 15m – Consultation must be carried out prior to Application being submitted

I am pleased to advise everyone that as Geoffrey Cox predicted Legislation has been approved by Parliament which now ensures that Consultation must be carried out prior to any application for Two or more Turbines or if Hub height of any Turbine exceeds 15m.

This legislation came into force on the 17th December 2013.

Beckwell Farm Wind Turbine – Public Meetings

Meetings Notice – Beckwell Farm Wind Turbine Application

 

There is a planning application (01243/2013) to build a 34m (111 feet) Wind Turbine at Beckwell Farm which is on the ridge between Ramsdown Cross and Borough Cross.

This Turbine will be visible from significant distances and it is also possible that if this application is approved that other applications will be put forward which will have a major detrimental effect on this beautiful part of West Devon.

Two meetings have been arranged so that local people can learn more about the application and express their views:

  • 6th January  7.30pm Meadwell Hall (organised by Kelly Parish Meeting)

 

  • 8th January  7pm Milton Abbot Public Hall (organised by Milton Abbot Group Parish Council)

Letters of objection or support must be submitted to West Devon Borough Council Planning Department by 10th January.
