Beckwell Wind Turbine – Planning Meeting – 4th March 2014

Please note the Planning Committee will discuss this application at its next meeting which is Tuesday 4th March 2014 at 10am.  The Agenda and full details of the Planning Application report 01243/2014 can be found on :-

http://www.westdevon.gov.uk/article/5927/Tuesday-4th-March-2014

You will be dismayed to know that the Planning Case Officer Mr Jeremy Guise has recommended conditional planning permission be granted.  This is despite the following:-

Dartmoor National Park recommending refusal.

Landscape Officer recommending resubmission with an alternative location.

English Heritage recommended refusal as the proposal currently stands

Milton Abbot Grouped Parish Council objection

Kelly Parish Meeting Objection

Mabrake Objection

Huge number of individual objections

(It is also interesting to note that the Case Officer (Mr Jeremy Guise) does not live in this area and is only on secondment to WDBC and will be in fact leaving shortly.)

I strongly recommend that as many of you who are able, attend this meeting and  show the Planning Committee the strength of our opposition to this proposal and to support our Chairman (Dr Gary Vanstone) who will be speaking on behalf of all objectors.
