Encouraging response from the Dartmoor National Park Authority

We have now received a response from the Dartmoor National Park Authority which confirmed they were aware of the pre-application for the Ramsdown and Borough Cross Turbines and included in their letter was the following:-

It may be of comfort to note that, in a recent appeal decision relating to turbines of this scale, the Planning Inspector took a robust stance when judging the impact and potentially detrimental damaging visual impact on the setting of the National Park, even when sited some distance away.

I hope this gives you an assurance that the Authority will assess the proposals in the proper manner and that we are equally as concerned to ensure such developments do not dilute the quality of the National Park and its important setting.

At least we now know that we are not alone in being concerned on the impact these Turbines would have on the Dartmoor National Park and this beautiful area in general.
